Handcrafted Openable Goan Window - Spokes
Original Hand-Painted Art
The Vintage Goa collection presents glimpses of Goa as it once was! Its historic towns, architectural landmarks, traditional modes of transport and landscapes from a bygone era.
Inspired by archival photographs from the Portuguese period and the years surrounding Goa’s Liberation, each scene reflects how places such as Panjim, Old Goa and Margao appeared in earlier times. The paintings are rendered in deep coffee-brown and sepia tones, giving the collection its distinctive vintage character.
Each artwork is an original watercolour painting, individually hand-painted by veteran Mumbai-based Goan artist Raj Halankar, former Professor at the Sir J.J. School of Applied Art, Mumbai.
Overall size of the artwork with mount: Approximately 40 × 31 cm
Internal artwork size: A4 — 29.7 × 21 cm
Mount width: 2 inches on all sides
The artwork is safely packaged and delivered with a professionally cut mount, ready to be framed.

Each painting is accompanied by a brief write-up sharing the story, place or historical context behind the artwork. As every watercolour painting is created individually by hand, subtle variations in brushwork and tonal detailing are natural and form part of the originality of the artwork.
