Sammadde is a handcrafted wooden spice box inspired by traditional Goan kitchens. Carved from a single block of wood, it features five compartments designed to hold everyday spices used in regional cooking. A flower-shaped lid with carved petals rotates smoothly over the base using a pivot mechanism.

Traditionally used to store spices such as mustard seeds, cumin, turmeric, and peppercorns, the Sammadde has been revived in two sizes while retaining its original form and functionality.

Today, it serves as both a practical spice container and a decorative conversation piece. It can also be used for serving snacks, dry fruits, sweets, or after-meal treats, making it a versatile addition to modern homes.
