The Ghumot is a traditional earthen hand drum from Goa, India, and was declared the state’s official heritage instrument in 2019. Traditionally crafted from a baked clay pot with two open ends, our Ghumot uses a naturally sourced alternative material for the drum membrane, while retaining the essence and character of this iconic Goan instrument.
