Goa’s historic landscape is marked by temples, churches, mosques, forts and archaeological remains that tell the story of its many centuries of cultural and architectural history. This series captures some of Goa’s significant monuments protected by the Archaeological Survey of India, preserving them through original works of art.

The collection includes the Mahadev Temple at Tambdi Surla, Basilica of Bom Jesus, St. Augustine Tower, Safa Masjid, Sé Cathedral, Church of St. Cajetan, Church and Convent of St. Francis of Assisi, Viceroy’s Arch, Aguada Fort and other protected monuments of Goa.

Each painting is an original hand-painted artwork by Prof. Halankar, a veteran Goan artist, alumnus of the Sir J.J. School of Applied Art, Mumbai and a former professor with decades devoted to art and teaching. He has been a part of Goa Decor since inception in 2020.
