Dances of Goa – Original Hand Paintings
Once an inseparable part of village celebrations, festivals and community gatherings, Goa’s traditional dances carried stories from one generation to the next through rhythm, movement, music and colourful attire.
This series of original hand paintings captures some of Goa’s much-loved traditional dance forms, including Fugdi, Kunbi, Dhalo, Dekhni, Ghode Modni, Goff, Kunbi and others, each reflecting a different facet of Goa’s social and cultural life.
Each artwork is created by veteran Goan artist Prof. Halankar, an alumnus and ex-professor of the J.J. School of Applied Art, Mumbai, and a part of our studio since its inception in early 2020.
